Welcome to Lydgate Junior

Dear Parent/Carer

We aim to ensure that all children receive a high quality, enjoyable and exciting education.

We feel that our school is a true reflection of the community we serve. Our pupils come from a range of social and cultural backgrounds. Within the school community we appreciate the richness of experience that the children bring to school. This enhances the learning experiences of everyone and it also gives all pupils the opportunity to develop respect and tolerence for each other by working and playing together.

Lydgate children are well motivated and achieve high standards in their work. The curriculum that is offered is broad and well balanced.By using a variety of teaching strategies and organisations we aim to provide a range of learning opportunities that help every individual to reach his/her potential. We encourage all pupils to grow into independent, considerate and responsible people.

My colleagues and I believe that we can only achieve the best for your child(ren) by close cooperation between home and school. To enable this to take place we try to make ourselves available at all reasonable times to talk to you about any concerns you may have regarding any aspects of your child's development. We want your child's time at Lydgate to be memorable for the right reasons - that is, a happy, fulfilling and successful period of his/her childhood.

Yours sincerely
